Movie Log 2009
4. Prince Caspian
Upon watching it about, I realize that I do very much like this movie more then the first. The first movie is very saturated with innocence to a point that it was kinda hard to watch the movie without feeling like a very young child. In this movie, that part is gone and it makes it less jarring. I usually don’t like movies with wars in them, but this movie and the LOTR movies pull it off in a way I can watch, so much that I love them.

5. Fire
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this movie, I was mostly just curious. I was pleasantly surprised at how sweet and simple and beautiful it is. Sita falling in love with her sister in law and the time they spend together is sweet. The symbolism from the movie they keep watching is laid on a bit too thick, but it gets the point across. The ending was pleasantly surprising and not tragic at all, which is nice.

I do agree with your comments on Prince Caspian. However, the one weakness is that Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe had the better villian in Tilda Swinton, who was just so wonderfully nasty throughout, and Prince Caspian was really missing an equally great villian.

Well, the first one also had a shirtless James McAvoy for the entire film, but that's just a happy bonus for me.

I didn't actually mind Caspian's guardian as the villian and I like that he was a very human villian this time.

In watching the deleted scenes, there were a couple more scenes that would have even giving him more humanity and made him not as clear cut evil, which might have been an interesting twist, but I'm probably one of the few people who would think that.
